For my niece’s third birthday, I wanted to make her a coat. She lives in Boston, so I thought it would be a practical gift, in addition to being pretty. I already had most of the materials on hand, so it turned out to be a quick and easy project, as far as coats go anyway.
This little tunic features an organic cotton top with a button detail on the shoulders and a gathered blue skirt. It is my second Burdastyle pattern, and comes from the same June 2014 magazine as last year’s fall baby dress. The pattern pieces are actually modified versions of the same pattern, cut in a bigger size.
Welcome to the second installment of my summer baby collection! This may be my favorite kids’ make yet. It’s The Purl Bee’s Summer Romper for Kids, and I made it for my 2 1/2 year-old niece.
