Thanks for stopping by! I’m Renee, a grad student and social science researcher. I’m a recent transplant from Washington, D.C. to the South and am still adjusting to living in a small town. I love to sew in my free time (obviously), mostly selfishly for myself. My makes are mainly apparel, but when I need a quick project, I also like to whip up some household items.

I hope you enjoy reading. Please comment and let me know what you think.

    Hi Renee,

My husband Jon recently told me about your blog. I think he said you went to high school together and stayed in touch in college. Anyway I feel that the way in which most of what we buy and consume is produced is really unethical. Its been weighing on me a lot lately. I have decided to start making some of my clothes and Jon suggested I check out your blog. Well, I’m glad I did because I’m totally inspired by what you do. You’re amazing!!! I feel like I wont have to “reinvent the wheel” because i can learn so much from your blog. Thanks for putting yourself out there so others can be inspired and learn!
