Me Made May 2018 Recap

I set two goals for Me Made May this year: 1) to wear majority me-made outfits every day, and 2) to dive back into the art of bra-making. I was successful in both, but I’ll save the bra-making adventures for a separate post. Here is what I wore for the month of May! I thought it would be interesting to document when I made each item that I wore, so I’ve included that information below.

7% of the clothing I wore this month was made in 2014, 7% in 2015, 24% in 2016, 52% in 2017, and 11% this year. My sewing for the past two years has focused more on separates than dresses. In 2016 and 17, I perfected the Ginger Jeans, Sewaholic Granville, and Ogden Cami, which have turned out to be wardrobe staples for me. Over the course of the month, I wore my Ginger Jeans 12 times, Ogden Camis 6 times, and Sewaholic Granvilles 5 times.

While this has been an interesting exercise, I’m not sure how useful it will be moving forward. My style will need to change very soon, as I’m about to start working in an office 5 days a week. Stay tuned for some more work-appropriate makes!
