The first week of May has gone by really quickly. I’ve been busy wrapping up the end of the semester, and working on my master’s thesis. Nonetheless, I’ve enjoyed picking out me-made clothes to wear each day.
Sunday, May 1, spent at home hanging out with the pup. This dress is the Jasper Sweaterdress by Paprika Patterns. I don’t wear it very often because it is pretty tight in the butt region. When I do, though, I am reminded of how comfortable it is and wonder why I don’t wear it more often.
Monday, May 2, a nice spring day in North Carolina, spent on school work. I wore my floral Moneta by Colette Patterns.
Tuesday, May 3, another day full of school work. I wore my favorite dress (me-made or otherwise): Sewn Square One’s Go Anywhere Dress. I tried to dress it up with a circle scarf I made last spring and a fun polka-dotted blazer from Banana Republic. I really don’t get why this dress isn’t more popular. It is super flattering, easy to sew, and easy to style.
Wednesday, May 4…May the fourth be with you. Working from home in old (like from college old) Old Navy jeans and a black and white Plantain tee by Deer & Doe.
Thursday, May 5, the last day of my semester, wearing Simple Sew’s floral pencil skirt, Vuokatti tights, a buttondown from Express, and sweater from Target.
Friday, May 6, another work day, this time in my Roses are Red Butterick 6168 dress, with store-bought tights. I have to be careful about standing up straight in this dress, or else it is a little revealing.
Saturday, May 7 spent at home sewing, relaxing, and grilling a delicious dinner in my Belcarra Blouse by Sewaholic Patterns and Banana Republic shorts.
One week in, and I’m feeling good about Me Made May this year. In terms of me-made clothes, I wore 4 dresses, 2 shirts, 1 skirt, 1 scarf, and 1 pair of leggings this week. I might even try to wear everything in my me-made wardrobe this month!
