Here’s the scarf that I wore a couple times for Me Made May. Another scarf? I know, I know. Eventually I’ll have to stop blogging every scarf I make, but I don’t think I’ve reached that point yet. 🙂
This one is a little different from the others. It’s another circle scarf, like my black and white circle scarf with birds, and I followed the same tutorial, but I attempted to make it completely with French seams. To my surprise, this was easier said than done. It sounds simple enough, make a tube with a French seam (check), and then connect the tube end to end with a French seam. I managed to use all French seams, but one is on the outside of the scarf instead of the inside. You can see this in the picture below. I tried multiple times but just could not figure out how to get that seam on the inside. My good friend Google wasn’t any help this time, either. If you know how to do this, I’d love to hear. Fortunately, the print on this scarf is pretty busy, so I doubt anyone will ever notice. If I see you staring at my scarf instead of my face, I’ll know what’s up.
Clearly, this scarf was a success, as I wore it five times last month. As my mom says, it’s amazing how a nice scarf can make you look put together.
