Just a few days left in Me Made May! I decided to keep this post to a week, so next week there will be just a few more days worth of pictures and then some summary stats. My inner nerd just can’t resist.
Last weekend my littlest brother graduated from college. Congratulations, bro-yo! He’s off to Yale next year, making the rest of us look like we’re sitting at home twiddling our thumbs. Of course, I made a dress to celebrate the occasion.
Three weeks down, one to go. Here’s what I wore last week. My photographer is getting tired of Me Made May (I don’t blame him, I don’t like taking pictures of myself everyday either), and was sick, so the pics aren’t all that. You can click on the links, though, to see better pictures of each me-made garment.
In and around DC, plastic bags at grocery stores cost 5 cents each. Almost everyone brings reusable bags to the grocery store. I think it’s a great policy, and having seen it put into action, it really reduces the number of plastic bags being consumed. Here in North Carolina, though, there is no such law. Relatively few people bring their own bags to the grocery store, and cashiers don’t always know what to do with them. Instead of being asked if I brought my own bags, I’m always asked, “paper or plastic?”
Can you believe we’re already halfway through May? Summer is flying by, and it hasn’t even officially started yet. Here’s what I wore for Me Made May this week.
