Gifts: Flannel Blanket Scarves

Inspired by Suzannah of Create/Enjoy, I made three plaid flannel blanket scarves as gifts this Christmas.  Unfortunately, I only got pictures of two of them.  The third is in a red and grey color way.  These scarves are super cozy, versatile, and easy to whip up. The flannel makes them pretty trendy right now, and they go with a variety of styles. They can also be worn about a zillion different ways, depending on how you wrap it around your neck.

Essentially these scarves are just squares of fabric with finished edges.  I bought the fabric for each at my local Hancock Fabrics.  Each scarf is as long as the fabric is wide, so they are about 55″ squares, requiring about 1 1/2 yards of fabric each.  I don’t have too much else to say, other than I included my labels for that special handmade touch.

Pattern: n/a, but inspired by Create/Enjoy’s blanket scarf tutorial
Fabric: 1.5 yards each of 3 different plaid flannels
Time: ~1 hour each
